Ari Picker and the rest of Lost In The Trees have already exhibited their ability to draw drastically different influences together into well assembled and meaningful compositions. In the past, a single song from their first two releases could contain verses with melodies and textures reminiscent of later Radiohead records to complete classically composed orchestral interludes. While Past Life wholly is no different, there are obvious examples of the band trying to step even further outside of a box that it has never really fit inside in the first place.
